Lee Valley Regional Park Authority (LVRPA) has been announced as runner up in the
Southern England Excellence Award. At the awards ceremony on 14
th October, attended by HRH The Princess Royal, LVRPA was commended for it’s work, specifically in the areas of ‘Policy and Strategy’ and ‘Partnerships and Resources’.
The score given by the assessors puts the Authority into the 4 star category of ‘Recognised for Excellence’ recognition – the highest category being 5 stars. This recognises organisations that are well on their way to organisational excellence, and reflects the excellent work by staff across the organisation in continuously improving the way that they work.
LVRPA is committed to continuous improvement and adopted the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) framework in 2003 in order for it to achieve a recognised business excellence standard. This year’s success builds upon the achievement of being named as a runner up in the 2007 London Excellence Awards. Through further work, and by incorporating the advice of the assessors, the Authority looks forward to further improving throughout the next year.
