Park Development Framework
Lee Valley Regional Park Act 1966 Section 14 Draft Area Proposals for the Regional Park.
The Authority is in the process of preparing a suite of documents, the Park Development Framework (PDF), which will establish our aspirations and specific proposals for the future development and management of the Regional Park. As part of this process the Authority is currently engaged in translating the Thematic Proposals (adopted in Jan 2011) onto area based maps in line with Section 14 of the Lee Valley Regional Park Act 1966 (the Park Act) to provide specific proposals covering the whole Park.
Adopted area proposals for Areas 2, 3, 4 and 5 can be found via the link on the right hand side of this page.
The Authority is currently developing draft proposals for Area 6, 7 & 8 which covers the area from the River Lee Country Park through to Ware in Hertfordshire.
The consultation into areas 6, 7 and 8 ended on 11th February 2015. We received a considerable number of responses which will be reviewed by officers and Members of the Authority before a further round of consultation is carried out during the summer. All consultees will be written to in advance of the draft proposals being presented to the Upper Lee Valley Regeneration and Planning Committee before the second round of consultation commences.
Responses to the consultation on Area 1 have been reviewed by officers and the amended draft Proposals will be presented to the Lower Lee Valley Regeneration and Planning Committee on 14th May 2015.
A copy of the revised Schedule of Proposals and accompanying maps can be found below together with a schedule of responses to those comments received.
The committee meeting will be held at 11.00am at the WaterWorks Centre, located on Lammas Road (off Lea Bridge Road), Leyton, London E10 7QB, tel: 020 8988 7566. The Agenda and papers for the committee will be made available at least one week before the meeting and will be placed on this PDF consultation webpage. If you wish to speak at the meeting you will need to give notice to the Committee Office at least 2 working days before the meeting is due to take place, i.e. by 11 May.
Guidelines for public speaking at committee meetings and the relevant contact details have been made available below.
Following consideration of the draft Proposals at the Lower Lee Valley Committee and any further revisions it is intended that the final set of proposals will be presented to full Authority on the 9th July for adoption.
