Sport and Venues Volunteering Opportunities

Lee Valley Athletics Centre

Volunteering at the Athletic Centre is mainly through the clubs that use the site. If you are interested in volunteering at the Lee Valley Athletic Centre you will need to be a member of one of the clubs that use the centre. We do occasionally take on volunteers to help with our own events and if you are interested in this activity please contact us to see what events are currently planned.

 

Lee Valley Campsites

All three of Lee Valley Park campsites (Dobbs Weir, Sewardstone and Edmonton) require general site maintenance and visitor greeter roles, second languages would be an asset to these roles for more information please read following roles descriptions:

 

Lee Valley Farms - Hayes Hill Farm

This farm is open to visitors throughout the warmer months and also opens on certain dates in winter for special events over Christmas.

Please note there is currently a waiting list for the farms so it may take longer than normal to receive a response. We thank you in advance for your patience.

Lee Valley Golf Course Pickets Lock - The Leeside Artesians  
At Pickets Lock Golf course we have the Leaside Artesians who are the local club. There is a volunteer role which helps with looking after the course and you need to be a member of the club to apply for this role. If you are interested and are a member of the club or would like to join please see this role description.

 

 

Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre

The Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre has two roles on offer at this site. Another London 2012 venue at which we will be hosting events from local and regional to international competitions. 

 

Lee Valley Ice Centre
Volunteering at the Ice Centre is through the clubs that use the site. If you are interested in volunteering at the Lee Valley Ice Centre you will need to be a member of one of the clubs that use the centre. Please contact the Ice Centre for information.
 

Lee Valley Riding Centre

We currently have one type of role available at the Riding Centre where you would be required to work with the horses. You will need to be riding at the centre to be able to apply for this role or you will need experience working with horses and will need a certain level of qualification to be able to volunteer working with the team at the centre. Please read the role description below for further details and the qualifications required.

 

Lee Valley Marinas - Stanstead Marina
This role offers the chance to gain first hand knowledge in a working boat repair and chandlery environment. for more information please read following roles descriptions:

 

 

Lee Valley VeloPark

The iconic Lee Valley VeloPark was opened in early 2014. This venue was an inspiring part of London 2012 and the Authority is running this venue in Legacy. Due to the popularity of this site we are currently only recruiting for our Events and Hospitality Volunteer role (please see below). However if you are interested in other roles that might become available please check our website again in March 2015.

 

Lee Valley White Water Centre

The new season has now started and recruitment at this venue has now reopened and there are now two roles that you can choose from:

  • Events Volunteer
  • Paddlesport Instructor / Coach
