2017 Photo Competition for the 2018 Calendar
We are delighted to announce the winners of the 2017 Volunteers photo competition. The standard keeps getting better and better each year and the judges this year found choosing a winner very difficult. The Chair of the Authority Paul Osborn and CEO Shaun Dawson pondered over lunch trying to narrow down the entries. Looking for what represents the Park in each category and then choosing an overall winner was a very enjoyable but tough job. Eventually section winners were chosen but the two best photos could just not be split. So after some discussion it was decided this year to give a joint best photo award to two photographs.
Price now reduced to £2.50
Calendars are now on sale at Myddelton House Gardens and Lee Valley White Water Centre. Two different covers are available this year as we have joint winners (see below for more details).
So the winners are:
Landscapes and Views - Joint section and overall winners:
Ian Monteath - Velodrome on a misty frosty morning
Dave Fossett - October sunrise over a misty Holyfield Hall Farm
Nature: Sport and Venues:
Jo Gildersleve – Peacock Butterfly at Myddelton House Gardens.
Ian Monteath – Stephane Houdet at the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters.
