Lee Valley Regional Park Authority has a 34 post orienteering course set within the 400 hectare River Lee Country Park which contains a diverse mosaic of wildlife habitats. These habitats support a diverse range of plants and animals, principally associated with the wetlands. Over 200 species of birds have been recorded, around 150 occurring annually.
There are three options for start locations:
1. Waltham Abbey Gardens, EN9 1XD
2. Lee Valley Park Farms car park, EN9 2EF
3. Windmill Lane, Cheshunt car park, EN8 9AJ
Guided
School and youth groups can book sessions led by Lee Valley Regional Park Youth and Schools Service by calling 08456 770 607. Maps, compasses and guidance are provided for two hour sessions run in the morning or afternoon at a cost of £4.85 per student.
Self Guided
Alternatively groups can obtain their own map, post description and score card for a charge of £1.75 per map from:
