Orienteering in the Lee Valley Regional Park

The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority has 34 post orienteering course set within the 400 hectare River Lee Country Park which contains a diverse mosaic of wildlife habitats. These habitats support a diverse range of plants and animals, principally associated with the wetlands. Over 200 species of birds have been recorded, around 150 occurring annually.
 
There are three options for start locations:
 
1. Waltham Abbey Gardens
2. Lee Valley Park Farms, Stubbins Hall Lane - car park
3. Windmill Lane, Cheshunt - car park

Guided

School and youth groups can book sessions led by Lee Valley Regional Park Youth and Schools Service by calling 01992 702 227. Maps, compasses and guidance are provided for two hour sessions run in the morning or afternoon at a cost of £3.60 per student.
 
Self Guided
 
Alternatively groups can obtain their own map, post description and score card for a charge of £1.50 per map from Lee Valley Regional Park Information Service on 01992 702 200, from Lee Valley Park Farms 01992 892 781, Stubbins Hall Lane, Waltham Abbey, Essex EN9 2EF or from Lee Valley Youth Hostel, near Cheshunt station 01992 628 392 (accommodation available).
