Cycling in the Lee Valley Regional Park
Lee Valley Regional Park offers many different cycle routes that take in countryside areas, urban green spaces, nature reserves and along riverside trails.
Stretching 28 miles and threading its way from rural Hertfordshire down to the River Thames the Lee Valley Pathway provides a cycle-way covering the entire length of the Regional Park.
The Lee Valley Pathway is a route for local access, providing safe, off road recreational cycling. The route links many of the Lee Valley Regional Park’s facilities and is an excellent way to explore the Lee Valley. The pathway also forms part of Route 1 and 61 of the National Cycle Network, a project championed by Sustrans (The Sustainable Transport Charity).
The banks of lakes and rivers in the
River Lee Country Park will lead to many attractive meadows and tree lined pathways allowing you to cycle for over 30 miles without meeting a car.
