Running

Lee Valley Regional Park is working with partners to develop the Regional Park as a hub of running activity to assist growth in the sport at all levels. The Regional Park offers a scenic, peaceful range of running routes that vary in length to escape from the busy urban roads that surround much of it. Nearly all the routes used for walking and cycling are also suitable for running or jogging. Below are some suggested jogging routes.

The Regional Park is working with running clubs and groups and plans to provide the following:
  • a range of running routes along the length of the Regional Park
  • website information and brochureson these routes
  • a marked 2km stretch or loop with each 400m marked off so keen runners can have accurately measured short stretches to test their performance
  • host any running groups wishing to use the Regional Park as a regular base for training
  • running events to promote both the sport and the Regional Park
  • seminars based at Lee Valley Athletics Centre (LVAC) combining an organised run along the Pathway with advice from experienced coaches and athletes
In the meantime, runners wishing to use LVAC as a base to run on the adjacent Lee Valley Pathway but without using the track facilities, can change and shower within LVAC free of charge.
