The marina is situated on the outskirts of the village of Stanstead Abbotts to the north of the London and south of the market town of Ware. The River Lee flows south from Luton and becomes navigable at the market town of Hertford and then flows through the Hertfordshire countryside and the Lee Valley regional Park in to the East London and joins the River Thames.
The marina is just north of the confluence of the River Stort and the Lee is connected to the rest of the national inland waterway system by the Hertford Union Canal and the River Thames giving over 2,500 miles of cruising waterways. The marina is well situated to visit the many attractions of the lee Valley Park and the local nature reserves at Rye Meads and Amwell.

Local Information
There is a train station, a small supermarket, a post office and several other shops in Stanstead Abbotts as well as three public houses and a couple of restaraunts, there are further facilities including supermarkets and banks in the nearby towns of Ware, Hoddesdon, Harlow and Hertford.
