The Olympic Park in Legacy
The Extension of Lee Valley Regional Park
As legacy of the London 2012 Games we look forward to seeing the extension of the 10,000 acres Lee Valley Regional Park through the Olympic Park down to the River Thames.
We are working with a range of partners including the Olympic Delivery Authority, London Development Agency and the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation to deliver a major linear park at the heart of a new urban district in the Lower Lee Valley.
An additional two miles of open space will be added to the existing 26 mile long Lee Valley Regional Park creating a strategic green link containing internationally significant sports facilities for London, Essex and Hertfordshire and the surrounding communities.
