This Months walks explorers the Northern part of the Olympic Park where you can see the legacy of the amazing London 2012 Olympic Games.
Starting at the iconic Velodrome you will see the northern part of the park wandering through the spacious and interesting landscaped areas of the Northern QEOP. With excellent paths and a park with great access you will walk down to the Olympic Stadium now the home of West Ham Football club, taking in the Orbit and learning about many things this part of the Olympic park has to offer.
The walk will then bring you back up to the wetlands where you can see some impressive wildlife habitat in the heart of a very urban setting. Returning past Timber Lodge and the amazing playground just before returning to the Velopark Cafe depending on if you want a quiet parkland setting or the excitement of the cycles racing round the track.
This is a fantastic walk taking in the river as well as park lands and a range of the iconic Olympic Venues on your walk around.
> The length of this walk is 4.4km (2.7 miles) and can take around 2 hours.
> All of this walk is on good footpaths and is suitable for Wheelchairs or buggies.
> Some of the walk is next to water.
