Run in partnership with the YHA, Lee Valley Youth Hostel at Cheshunt is the perfect place to stay for a short break.

Constructed in wood and designed as a small village, the Lee Valley Youth Hostel is set within the beautiful surroundings of River Lee Country Park, and is the ideal location for an affordable stay within easy access to a host of leisure facilities and activities.

River Lee Country Park has excellent facilities for angling, birdwatching, walking, picnics, cycling and nature study. Leisure facilities nearby include the Lee Valley Boat Centre, where you can hire various boats, our fantastic Lee Valley Parks Farms, and a specially designed orienteering course (with wheelchair route) are all within walking distance of the hostel.

If you prefer the bright lights of the city, Cheshunt station will get you to London’s Liverpool Street in around 20 minutes and Tottenham Hale in just 8, giving easy access into central London.

The youth hostel is really a value for money and quality way to have a holiday and see some of Lee Valley Regional Park.

By car: 10 minutes from Junction 25 of the M25

By train: TheONE rail operator runs a service between Liverpool Street - Stansted Airport and Cambridge. Cheshunt Station (a 2-minute walk from the Youth Hostel) is a 20-minute journey from central London.

By bus: No.C1, 242, 310, 310A, 310B or 311.

By Boat: 20 metres from the River Lee

By foot or bicycle: 20 metres off the walk off the route of the Lea Valley Walk, a 50 mile national walking route from Luton in Bedfordshire to the Thames at Bow.
