Walthamstow Marshes Explorers Walk

Armed with sweep nets and beating sticks, discover the hidden treasures of the Green Flag Award marshes in east London.

A Walk in the Park

Sunday 1 August 10:30 - 12:30, for all the family

This month’s walk in the beautiful 1000 acre River Lee Country Park, a unique patchwork of lakes, lakes, waterways, green open spaces and countryside areas, is a dog walkers’ special, so bring your four legged friends along!

Jazz in the Garden – Musical Entertainment

Enjoy a summer evening in the beautiful Myddelton House Gardens in Enfield, with BBC Jazz Singer of the Year Anthony Strong and his band. Why not bring a picnic, a rug and a bottle of wine! Close to London, the gardens offer a diverse plant collection, beautiful carp lake, conservatory, rock garden and a number of historical artefacts. Paddle and Pedal Open Day

Wednesday 4 August, 11.00 – 16.00, FREE, for all the family

Enjoy a day of canoeing, cycling, orienteering, treasure hunts, bug hunts and a whole host more in our family open day across 100 acres of open space! Canoeing activities are bookable on the day.

Love-A-Bug Day!

It’s Love a Bug Day at Lee Valley Park Farms. Learn all about the bugs that live above our heads and beneath our feet! The whole family can play in the tractor barn, Piglets' Paradise, the pit and the soft play area Bundle Barn and there’s the huge new Bouncing Pillows to jump on and Spider Tower to climb on!

James and the Giant Peach - Outdoor Theatre

Illyria Theatre Company presents their adaptation of Roald Dahl's children's classic. Follow the adventures of James as the strongest bag of magic in the world makes the most marvellous things happen. Farm Fun Boat and Activity Day

Go Batty

Enjoy a talk and a walk at the WaterWorks Nature Reserve, an urban treasure in East London, to learn all about the life of bats. You'll get to head out with our detectors to hear bats feeding around the site.

Lee Valley Regional Park stretches 26 miles along the River Lee from Ware in Hertfordshire to East India Dock Basin on the Thames. The Park’s 10,000 acres comprise a diverse mix of heritage sites, nature reserves and open green spaces alongside world class sports facilities, attracting over 4 million visitors every year.

 

Lee Valley Regional Park is playing an active part in the London 2012 Games. The Lee Valley White Water Centre (just north of the M25, near Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire) and the VeloPark and Hockey and Tennis Centres in Olympic Park will be owned, managed and funded by Lee Valley Regional Park in legacy. They join our existing sports facilities which include Lee Valley’s Athletics Centre, Riding Centre and Ice Centre to create a chain of sporting excellence across the region.
