Lee Valley Athletics Centre
QUESTION: Are you bored with fad diets?
QUESTION: Have you invested in a gym membership but never go?
QUESTION: Do you enjoy running but are worried about jogging alone outdoors?
ANSWER: The award winning, state of the art Lee Valley Athletics Centre (LVAC).
This could be the year to challenge your body instead of your wallet. Providing for all levels of fitness, LVAC is the largest indoor and outdoor athletics centre serving London and the south of England. It is home to three of the four British track and field medalists at the Beijing Olympics.
It has a new 600m off-road trail, designed to provide a safe, well lit training route for runners of all ages and abilities, particularly attractive to women who don’t want to run around the streets as the nights close in. Launched by Marilyn Okoro, 800M Olympic semi finalist and surfaced with bark chipping and grass to suggest running along a woodland path, it is adjacent to the Centre’s 400m track so runners can jog whilst watching some of the country’s top track stars going through their paces.
