May Day activities bring in the crowds

Junior Horseball Team show off their skills
Over 4,500 people visited the Lee Valley Riding Centre, Leyton on Monday 5 May to celebrate May Day.
With glorious weather visitors had a fun packed May bank holiday with activities and entertainment for all the family. The British Horseball Team was the star attraction entertaining the crowds with the fast-paced game, which comes from France, and can be compared to a cross between rugby and basketball on horseback.
Visitors learned how horses are shoed, took part in carriage driving and watched pony club displays. The National Team wowed people with their riding skills and hundreds of kids had pony rides, raising over £500 for Riding for the Disabled.
Kids were kept entertained with face painting, art and craft activities, fairground rides and Leyton Fire Bridge informed people on how to keep safe.
