From 11am on Sunday 21st March, Lee Valley Regional Park invites you to complete your Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile at London’s state of the art Athletics Centre. Lee Valley Athletics Centre is home to many of London 2012’s Olympian and Paralympians who regularly train at the Centre. The Sport Relief route uses the indoor track and our new Trim Trail, so why not join in the fun and come along with friends and family to raise essential funds for this great cause. All you need is to get yourself sponsored and have a great time. With 1 mile, 3 mile and 6 mile events, there’s something to suit all abilities!

Comic Relief will spend the money raised through sponsorship helping poor and vulnerable people both here in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.

About the Lee Valley Regional Park
The Lee Valley Athletics Centre is a centre of excellence for UK Athletics and is used by 22% of all UK athletes in receipt of Lottery Funding and according to a top US Athletics Coach “LVAC is one of the best athletics training venues in the world”! It is home to three of the four British track and field medallists from the Beijing Olympics, including gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu.
Lee Valley Regional Park stretches 26 miles along the course of the River Lee from Ware in Hertfordshire to East India Dock Basin on the Thames. The Park’s 10,000 acres comprises of a mix of heritage sites, nature reserves and open green spaces and sports facilities.
Lee Valley Regional Park is playing an active part in the London 2012 Games. The new White Water Canoe Centre (just north of the M25 between Waltham Abbey and Waltham Cross) and the VeloPark and Hockey and Tennis Centres in Olympic Park will be owned, managed and funded by Lee Valley Regional Park in legacy.
