Assistant Ranger Apprentice

35 hours per week inclusive of training. Fixed Term Contract 2 Years

We're currently recruiting new apprentices at Lee Valley Regional Park Authority. As an Apprentice Assistant Ranger, you'll study towards NVQ levels 2 in Work-based Environmental Conservation over the next 12 to 18 months. You'll be required to undertake classroom study and further study in your own time. Alongside the study, you'll do paid work for 30 hours each week gaining practical experience and knowledge which will include use of tools and machinery and maintenance, survey techniques for species and infrastructure, habitat management and community engagement.

A full driving licence is essential and successful applicants will be required to obtain a Disclosure Certificate form the Criminal Records Bureau, for which assistance will be given.
