37.5 hours per week – Annualised hours based on a Monday – Sunday shift rota

Lee Valley VeloPark is the UK’s most comprehensive cycling facility, with a programme for all disciplines, ages and abilities. From the iconic velodrome and BMX track, through to the mountain bike trails, road circuit and VeloStudio – you’ll be a key member of staff in the coaching team as we continue to expand the multi-discipline programme.

We’ll look to you to deliver high quality, rider-focused coaching across all four of the cycling disciplines; track, road, BMX and mountain biking, as well as balance bikes and VeloStudio sessions. You’ll coach anyone from school children to corporate groups and will be a vital point of contact at the venue for our visitors. Working within the VeloPark coaching team, you will be a strong team player, planning and delivering effective coaching sessions, and acting as an inspirational ambassador for the VeloPark.  As Session Coach, advocating best practice, keeping up to date with the latest developments and regularly reviewing your performance whilst pursuing continual professional development will form key parts of your role.

With a passion for cycling, you will have the ability to engage and inspire both individuals and groups. A thorough understanding of at least 2 cycling disciplines is essential. Experience of working or learning in a commercial leisure facility is desirable. A British Cycling or ABCC coaching qualification is desirable although further training may be offered within this role.
