Level 3 apprenticeship on beef and arable farm in the Lee Valley.

35 hours per week inclusive of training. Fixed term 12 to 18 months


The award winning Lee Valley Regional Park stretches an incredible 26 miles along the leafy banks of the River Lee, from Ware in Hertfordshire, through Essex, to the Thames at East India Dock Basin. The park provides a unique 'natural' corridor on London’s doorstep and provides a vital refuge for wildlife. It contains a variety of landscapes and open spaces to enjoy, from industrial heritage sites and nature reserves, to a 1,000 acre country park and Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), the Lee Valley Regional Park has something to offer everyone.

We are seeking people with lots of initiative, who are looking to gain a variety of transferable skills while building a career within an exciting leisure environment.


This role involves operating farm machinery, including tractors and attachments, monitoring and feeding livestock, checking and managing supply stocks such as feed, handling livestock and ensuring appropriate accommodation, grass rolling and drilling, maintaining accurate records, and working effectively as part of a team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills, along with initiative, logical thinking, attention to detail, reliability, physical fitness, and the ability to prioritise workloads with a strong work ethic and enthusiasm to get involved. Applicants must hold a tractor license, have beef cattle experience, be confident and hardworking, and possess a full driving license to operate machinery. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will receive support from an assessor and complete a blend of face-to-face and online learning, working towards a Level 3 Livestock Technician qualification, with duties expanding as your skills develop and opportunities for permanent employment and progression onto a Level 4 Assistant Farm Manager Apprenticeship upon successful completion.
