Access to information
Lee Valley Regional Park Authority is working to improve access to the information it holds. There is an ongoing review of the information and records management procedures and standards used. The links below provide background to the legislation and details of how information can be accessed.
Freedom of Information
Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000 gives the public a general right of access to all types of recorded information held by public authorities. The general right of access is subject to some exemptions and the Act places a number of obligations on public bodies. The Authority is not covered by the Freedom of Information Act but its Members have agreed to adopt the process.
Personal Information
Data Protection (DP) Act 1998 gives the public a right of access to information about themselves and sets out a number of obligations on all organisations holding personal information.
