Seven London in Bloom Awards for Lee Valley

Release date:

24 October 2025

Seven sites across Lee Valley Regional Park have been awarded the highest Gold accolade once again from the prestigious London in Bloom Awards for 2025.

London in Bloom has been recognising the Authority’s commitment to maintaining and improving its cherished open spaces for many years, with some Lee Valley sites having held a Gold Award for a decade, and all seven spaces retaining Gold status since 2016.

The seven sites to receive a Gold Award this year, based on an assessment of 85% or above:

Shaun Dawson, Chief Executive of Lee Valley Regional Park Authority said, “We are delighted to have received this fantastic recognition for our open spaces from the London in Bloom Awards. Our parks, heritage sites and open spaces have never been more important for the diverse communities that we serve and our team work tirelessly to ensure that we are providing the very highest standards for visitors.

“These Gold Awards are a fitting tribute to the huge efforts of the open spaces team and volunteers at the Authority.”

These latest accolades come hot on the heels of Lee Valley Regional Park Authority being awarded nine Green Flag Awards in July, with a tenth Green Flag awarded to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park which is jointly managed by The London Legacy Development Corporation and Lee Valley Regional Park Authority. Myddelton House Gardens in Enfield also achieved the much coveted Green Heritage Site Accreditation.

London in Bloom recognises the efforts made by individuals and organisations across Greater London to improve their local environment. The Authority’s sites were judged against parks and open spaces from across London, demonstrating the high standards to which they are maintained.

Lee Valley Regional Park’s green spaces are free to visit throughout the year, with thousands of acres to explore on foot, by bike or by river.
